The rivers of Costa Rica are fun all year round. The level of the waters of the rivers depends on the rain, which is approximately 4 meters per year. Always take into account the water level and adjust the safety measures and equipment according to the circumstances. The rainy season runs from June to December, and the rafting trips are very exciting, during the other months it rains a little less but it is still possible to enjoy the rapids and nature. The water temperature is around 25 degrees Celsius.
Before starting any Aventuras de Sarapiquí trip, each person must read, understand and sign a contract of release of responsibility towards the company. As a company we do everything possible to ensure the safety of our customers, but their collaboration is very important, they must comply with certain instructions or rules that are necessary. The company needs that any physical or medical condition is reported at the time of making the reservation and again to your guide just before the trip.
You DO NOT need to know how to swim to enjoy our trips. Before starting a trip you will be given a class V flotation vest and a helmet, this equipment has the approval of international quality standards. Also the guide in charge of the trip will give you a safety talk and explain the instructions before starting the trip. We suggest that if you plan to take a trip in class IV-V, you must have previous experience in rafting and feel comfortable in the water.
You should bring a swimsuit or comfortable rapa, because we guarantee that it will end well wet. You should also bring change clothes, sunscreen and camera preferably against water which is optional. You must also bring sandals to tie or tennis shoes.
Of course, you should only inform us at the time of making the reservation. We will do everything possible to fulfill your request, but we can not guarantee it.
All guides are adequately paid for the services we offer, but if you believe that a certain guide made your experience really special, a tip is a very timely way of saying thank you and you will be greatly appreciated, in addition, all kinds of comments are grateful and appreciated.
