Walk through the Rainforest

It will travel 9 kilometers through conditioned trails to be accessible by people of all ages. This trail system is within a 346-acre protected area and a magnificent tropical forest. In the company of a local guide, you will begin the walk in the gardens of the reserve and while you walk you will discover the many wonders of the rainforest and the different habitats that forest animals inhabit. On a 262 meter long suspension bridge, you will walk on the Sarapiquí River and observe the flora and fauna hidden in the treetops.

The lowlands of the Caribbean are very well known for their great biodiversity. Within the reserve there are 420 species of birds, 89 of mammals of which 59 are bats, 30 species of amphibians and 35 of reptiles. During the trip you will learn a little about the natural history and the importance of some of these species and you will gain a total appreciation towards the forest. The walk will take around two and a half hours and ends at the same place where it started.
